Hi absolute novice here.
We have an Indian sandstone patio approx 7x5m, it was laid about 6 years ago.
Some of the slabs have slightly shifted causing the cement grout to crack and a few bits to break up.
We are looking at replacing some but not all.
I have 2 questions

What product would people recommend for the replacement areas and for the areas that have small gaps around the slabs only is it feasible to use a brush in grout product to fill these?

Will a brush in product work on top of the old grout??

Like I said novice so be kind please and idiots guides greatefully received

What do you mean by a "brush-in product"? A resin mortar?

Even the best 2-part resin mortars don't work well in very narrow spaces. They need at least 3mm to form an effective bond.

And rather than patch-up failed jointing, I'd perfer to cut out *all* of the jointing and redo the lot to ensure a good job and a uniform appearance....

Patio Re-Jointing

Other than that, how certain are you that the sub-surface movement responsible for the cracked jointing has now finished? I'd want to be sure the paving was going nowhere before committing to a re-jointing project.
