Good evening,

Am interested to get peoples opinions / ideas / advice on recommended products and methods for using paving units in vertical applications, e.g. to face concrete block walls and as step risers.

Would like to know what products people use for adhering natural stone, concrete and porcelain paving to concrete block walls.

I have come across 2 products during my initial research:

UltraScape Slipbond 'Vertical Stone and Brick Slip Adhesive' by Instarmac, and

'Power Grab 'n' Bond' construction adhesive by C-Tec.

Anybody any experience with these products?

Many thanks in advance.

I just use an SBR and cement adhesive, cheap and bombproof.

I usually do the same as Pablo but a friend of mine recently used ct1 mastic and it worked a treat.
He used it to stick 600x600 and 300 300mm sawn and honed sandstone to a block wall btw.
He did it over a year ago and it's holding up well.

Is there a big price difference?

I think ct1 is around £7 a tube. Not sure how many tubes per m2 but it only needs dot and dabbing.
Sbr cement slurry works out at around 40 per 15 litres 1f the sbr is diluted 2-1.
I reckon around the same Sean.
