Render and cement on limestone slaps

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi we have had a builder to do our back garden and he has layed the slap and has got render and cement on them and he started to use brick acid on them and they have turned white (not happy) have u any suggestions to what to use to get this off, thanks

This comes up so many times builders using brick acid on Limestone FFS, post a photo so I can see the damage, but it may need replacing sorry, brick acid & Limestone don't mix, will they never learn!!!

Hi sorry to jump on this forum but can I ask as the labourer has spilt cement which has gone off on top of bradstone panache 450mm slabs which I guess are made of concrete or cement
What's best to get the marks off please

or just about any natural stone for that matter

Cement and Limestone have similar chemical makeup so any chemical designed to remove cement will do plenty of damage to Limestone also

We do a Mortar Stain Remover but do not recommend it on Limestone for that very reason http://www.azpects.co.uk/product....er.aspx
