Hi
Finally finished my Indian sandstone patio and path and really happy how it turned out.
When I bought my stone the merchant had a crate that was a customer return, it was missing the 290 x 290's but he sold me it for £100 and at that price I couldn't say no.
Anyway I now have 25 slabs left which are a mix between 900 x 600 and 600 x 600, this is enough for me to do a path round the side of my house and to my doorstep.
The problem is though if I make the path 600 wide it is just smaller than the wheels on my wheelie bin, which is a bit of a pain and I would like to make it a little wider.
The stone I have is riven sandstone, had considered setts to put at either side each flag but my local merchant doesn't sell these. He suggested using Tegula block, wondered if anyone had done similar?
My concern would be that I am not a big fan of monoblock due to it loosing its colour. I have never used Tegula but I know that is one of the better makes. Only mono I have ever done was with paver systems it looked amazing at the time but the colour now is shocking, although I am not sure if that is due to the people I sold the house to maybe using some sort of cleaner on it but it really is that bad.
Any advice?
cheers
