I have tested resiblock superior gloss on black limestone on some sample pieces and it looks to have come out ok.
Although on the bottle it says only to be used on Block Paving, is there a reason why this cannot be used on black limestone?

Impregnating sealers only for natural stone IMO, the superior is polyurethane so more of a surface sealer for concrete. I'm sure Craig from Resiblock will correct me if I'm wrong.

Roger is correct; Resiblock Superior is a very high solids (30%) prepolymer urethane which requires a high porosity substrate (specifically semi-dry cast block paving) to provide the long-term bond. Numerous people have used it on Black limestone with varying results from good to not so good hence we could not recommend its use for this purpose. With regard to ‘impregnators’ we would not be able to comment one way or the other as we have limited expertise in this area outside of nanotechnologies. Notwithstanding, and occupying the position we do in the market means we get a significant amount of varying feedback on these materials (not quite as much as Brew Cabin I grant you!) and as such it would be very interesting to see some independent objective long term tests (3 years plus) to understand the on-going resistance to detritus staining, as the data we have seen thus far is subjective at best. Back to Black Limestone Tony has written very authoritatively on the subject elsewhere on this site.
