So I have come to know a lady on our local FB group.
To cut a story shorter, she bought the slabs and a chap came and laid them, in doing so he left a lot of cement on the slabs, cement which I could easily have removed (In hindsight).
Instead he used acid which removed the top layer then attempted to dye it with a powder. He then went on to use masonry paint to cover his errors, not any masonry paint either. Bright pink!
Does anyone have any solutions other than mine that you simply have to start again?
This is a brand new week old patio and it was paid for during the process.
