Hi Guys

Does anybody have any views on the cast quality of the following concrete flags provided by Bowland Stone and MinsterPaving.

1) Bowland Windor 600x600 in the Welsh Slate colour
2) MinsterFlags 600x900 also in dark Slate

We're considering these two designs for a 40m2 project in Plymouth.

The Bowland flags are available from local distributors (approx £1000 for the flags).
However while we liked the rich dark colour and riven design the 300x600 sample we picked up from the local supplier had more than 8 relatively large bubble holes in the surface.
Is this a representative sample of the quality of these Bowland flags or simply a minor lapse in their quality control?

The Minsters on the other hand will need to be pallet delivered direct from the manufacturer (approx £1200). As there are no local supplies it's difficult for us to determine the quality of the flags using anything other than the manufacture's catalogue as a guide.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks Danny

Our local bowland manufacturer warr brothers also produce good slabs, used them on lots of jobs but can't vouch for your bowland producer.
