About a 18 months ago I had a patio of about 25sq meters laid in Indian Sandstone. After rain the slabs look so much better it brings out the colour and ridges. I have seen advertised a wet look sealant which I suppose would create this look. Can any one recommend a good sealant that would achieve this as there seems to be loads out there. The slabs have not been sealed since laid. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but was hoping someone who has actually used a wet look sealer on Indian Sandstone could point me in the right direction.

Is it the depth of colour you like or do you really like the wet look?

It is the wet look, as i said after it rains or when wet the patio looks so much better.

What you are wanting is what is called a topical sealer which is usually used on internal floors, so not really the right type of sealer for exterior paving. I can point you in the right direction for a colour enhancing sealer but personally won't endorse a topical sealer for exterior use, I'd do a google search and see what comes up, but stay away from, Thompson's, Ronseal or anything that is acrylic based, as they will last around 3-6 months if you are lucky.
