Hi, after running out of money I had to lay my patio myself. My wife decided on 20mm slate paving and after extensive research on how best to lay it I soldiered on. It has now been down for 48 hours, I walked on the edge of it today and the larger stones seem ok, the smaller ones (a 200 x 200 and a 400 x 200) both popped when I walked on them
I used a 6:1 semi dry mix (prob more towards the dry end of the scale as was worried about staining them) and used the SBR bonding slurry. When I look in between the tiles the mortar is grey and crumbly.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction / offer some advice? If 2 have popped are they all likely to go? Will I need to lift and re-bed every tile? Many thanks for your help
