I have just laid 10 tonnes of crushed limestone to fines and whacked it down...It will eventually be top dressed with 10mm gravel....
Should I now Wet it to aid compaction as it is very dusty ?
Is there a point where whacking ceases to have any further benefit ?
How can I knwo that it is compacted enough?
If I wetted it would this not wash the fines away?
Thanks

Damp it down to keep the dust down, saves the whacker engine breathing in too much dust, it kills them.
