Hi to all. First post but I have read a lot and learnt a lot so far. I do have a question I need some assistance with though. Can't find it in the search. I am about to lay a calibrated sandstone patio in random. I have been to the yard and got some samples and it seems good stuff. I have stood each end on a brick and it takes my 22 stone bouncing on it! The edges don't crumble either. I have decided on a wettish 6: 1 sharp just enough to to support the flag. 1st question is ( and this links to the 2nd question) should I slurry/ sbr the underside. I am concerned about the flag sucking the moisture from the mix I was thinking of either a 50:50 water sbr mix or a slurry with sbr/ cement - which would be better?
My second concern is how long/how many to lay before balancing joints as described on the main site. I don't want to compromise adhesion but shifting when it has started to adhere and then it won't stick. Sorry for long post. Hope it makes sense and someone can assist
