hi, I have been landscaping for 20+yrs now, and have seen the quality of calibrated stone going downhill fast, is this just me or has any else noticed this ??? does any one know of a supplier that does check their quality so I don't have to reject at least 10% of the paving, that cant be returned?

I laid some 6 year old non calibrated stuff last weekend
what I noticed was that I feel the indians were more selective with non calibrated
whereas now they just shove everything through the diamond mill
http://www.londonstone.co.uk/
are about the best out there IMHO
but with all imported flags I would allow something for waste

Cheers Tony although we have had some recent issues on the QC of our spelling :D

Jobrite, when you say the quality of calibrated stone is deteriorating, in what way do you mean? Surface quality, thickness tolerances?

Luton is right. Pretty much everything is calibrated these day but when calibration was first introduced the suppliers would generally put the less riven pieces aside to be calibrate as these went through the calibrating lines more easily.
