Hi Everyone: Can't find an answer anywhere -hope I haven't missed it. Can anyone advise: have had UK natural sandstone laid - 60 sq metres. In the supplier's yard we saw example and chose colour. The slabs have now been down for 4 days - no colour - all grey - but when it rains the colours come through. then when dry 'grey' again. Is this normal? We also had a lot of angle grinding dust so is this what has turned them grey? Now worried that when I scrub them (high pressure hose?) they will come up and revert. Appreciate any similar experiences/resolution.

What colour are they supposed to be? I'm guessing buff.
It's only been down four days after a bit of weathering you will find that the colour starts to show up. Give it a month or so to see the true colour. It will though, always have a different look when wet.

Can always seal them with a 'wet look' sealant if you prefer how it looks.

You need to give the slabs a chance to settle down.
All the dust from angle grinding/cement/general constrcution can leave a filn on the surface of the stone. Give it a couple of weeks and you will see the colour emerging. If that doesnt work you can always get a stiff brush and give them a clean with some hot soapy water
