Hi all,

I am about to start enhancing/sealing a black limestone patio I had a paver do for me around 14 months ago (May '13). The paver said to leave it a year before sealing so that it can go through all the seasons and for everything to come up (whatever that means :)).

So, I am about to start the sealing and then came across a great article on this website which done some comparisons and also some great threads.

I have a few questions before I commencing the sealing...

1) I have, since coming in this forum, noticed that there is two approaches. Enhancing and sealing. Do I Need to do these two separate or is it possible I could use one product to enhance and seal in one go?

2) my patio is only 14 months old and my wife says that it needs to be grouted again. If so, would the grout need to be done before the patio stones are enhanced/sealed? (I would add an image but it seems I can only add an image of the internet and not off my laptop)

Thanks in advance

what has happened to the pointing?

you can use dry treat whch is the best but the pointing should be addressed first

a picture would be handy

Only just seen this,
I can only help you with Q1,
Sealing & enhancing is done in one go, you get a enhancing sealer. There are many on the market, but first and foremost the paving needs to be perfectly clean, no mortar staining etc.
If you want to sort the pointing/grouting issue out first, I can help with the cleaning and sealing side of things.
