Hi, I need help! I have recently had a patio replaced on a balcony as water was seeping into the rendered wall below and causing damp and chunks of render to fall off. Indian stone was used by the contractor but we have noticed several slabs have slight movement when pressed in a corner. The coping stones on the wall down the side of the steps have not stuck at all and the mortar in general is crumbly and 4 weeks afterwards can be scratched out with a finger nail. There is an overhang to stop water dripping onto the wall below but the mortar in the joints allows seepage onto the wall. I need to know how this should be fixed as I am afraid the builder will not do a good repair just bull!##t me.
