Hi Guys, our contractor ran out of pavers and said he could return to finish the job (about 2sqm) at a huge cost (needs to charge us a day rate)

I figure ill give it a go myself.

I watched him lay the pavers onto our concrete slab. he used a yellow coloured sand and dry mixed it with cement. That mixture was poured dry onto our concrete slab and screed smooth/level.

When he laid each paver, he had a plastic drum of just cement and water, a slurry mix that was poured onto the dry mix sand/cement and each paver/flag was rubber malleted into place

What method is this called and by which mix do I make the dry product? 3:1? 4:1?

The area is for a driveway.

You can see the area i need to do in the background of this photo. How best to get this area level?

Thanks!

Is this a wind-up? Get your contractor to lift it all up and do a proper job! Have a read on laying paving.

Well, it wasnt his fault that we ran out of pavers. it was my fault, so yep, he wont return as he has to charge us again.

Ah, OK thats how they lay them there :(
