There is pointing repairs needing done in patio.

Patio was here when we moved in so no idea on what pointing mix was used, unfortunately in areas it's starting to crumble and come loose.

Being realistic I don't see my repair work 3/1 - building sand/cement, getting colour match as I have no idea what was used previously.

Can anyone suggest ways to make a new mortar look weathered or aged so it blends in a bit better.

Big patio - wouldn't want to remove all pointing and replace.

Probably whatever you do will not achieve a colour match and the best match you'll get is by leaving it weather naturally.

If you must though you could try a small amount of black dye in your mix. Or to speed up the ageing process, apparently cow poop mixed with milk or yogurt and painted on the joints works. Apparently!

sheep shite mixed with soot helps

has to be fresh though

I have painted a whole extension in this and it worked
