hi,
anyone with experience laying a sandstone patio/path using only a small single size flag (290mm x 290mm) rather than the standard mixed sizes project packs?
Project is approx 35sqm.
Will it be easier or more difficult to lay (for a newbie)?
Will it look right?
and time-wise will it take much longer?
any other feedback...
thanks again
paul

It will all depend on the width of the path and your own preferences.
I am not the expert but I would prefer to work with small slabs especially for paths.
Think of lifting 375 no small slabs or 65 large heavy ones.
A regular small size may look the part.

I wouldnt want to do it
lots more pointing and the small units tend to be the most riven
for 1 size 450 by 450 is the lowest i would go

I work with smaller units as little as possible. Pain in the ass to lay, pain in the ass to walk on when you lay them, pain in the ass to point

If laying a single sized flag i always prefer to use a rectangular size. I just think it looks better in stretcher
