How about viewing the main website where this question is answered in some depth?

yeah its no problem use a good leotac product to stick your bitmac down, most roads are done in this manner when overlaying concrete.would help if concrete was cracked because tarmac is a flexiable material and concrete is not(when over laying with bitmac over concrete this is called composite driveway/highway). i take it you will be using 6mm tarmac? are you going to lay it yourself?

I worry about well-intentioned DIYers and amateurs who claim they are going to lay their own bitmac. It really isn't a task that's suitable for the inexperienced, mainly because it's an unforgiving medium.

If you make a mess of, say, block paving or patio flags, they can be taken up and re-laid, but bitmac doesn't give you that option. If you don't get it right first time, it never will be right. :(
