Going to be having a new patio in Indian Sandstone.

To avoid issues with damp etc was thinking we can get the Indian Sandstone delivered well before it's needed and then seal the surface in our warehouse which is a clean, dry and dust free environment. Once sealed it can sit there for a couple of weeks until its ready to be laid.

Appreciate comments .... is this a sensible thing to do ?

The majority of people don't have the facilities to seal indoors, so if you've got the dry storage then its a great idea to pre-seal

....but try to keep edges and bed face free of any sealant as some types (not all) can cause bonding problems with cementitious materials.
