I have been cutting a lot of granite, the blade in the cutter (Vitrex Versatile Power Pro 900) now feels smooth, so I expect it is glazed. As I have only made about 60 600mm cuts with it I don’t think I have used up all the diamonds.

I have some odd bits of sand stone lying about, should I just make lots of cuts in the sandstone to expose more diamond?

Yes running it through a softer material (sandstone) would help.
Depends how far the blade has worn down. Basically if the few mm on the rim of the blade is still thicker than the main part of the disc and its not jamming then fine.

it could be worn out
occasionally blades wear out very fast with certain materials
try a softer stone ,but it may just be gone
