Last weekend, I used Flowpoint on my patio and pleased with the results on the day. I still have more to do to fill in a few gaps and another area of patio.

Since that time, I have noticed a white residue and/or staining to the sandstone slabs around the joints. Flowpoint is meant to be stain free so not sure what this is. Link to photo is here

Does anyone else have experience of this white residue? Does it simply disappear? Or does it need removing if at all?

Regards

Marcus

It looks very much like a slight cement residue. You have cleaned off the majority but the slight haze has been left behind.

It is more your cleaning than a fault with the product to be honest.

As far as remedies go it will eventually weather off because there is so little cement content.

If you can't bare to look at it a light acid wash will shift it but wait until your pointing is at least a couple of weeks old so you don't damage it.

Obviously test on a small area first to check it will have no adverse effect on your stone. Is it tumbled mint?

Did you give the paving a good soaking with water in the hours prior to application?
