A few of the brew cabin members have passed comment on their own choice of inset man hole covers mainly for block paving but these same covers are also suitable for all types of paving hence the reason for posting in this section of the site

This is a man hole cover what was has been launched and is available as a made to measure size too for not a lot of money, some companies charge 3 times the amount for a bespoke size

Fabweld Solo Slide

With the lifting key its possible for one person to remove it from the frame stood in an upright position as its a wedge shape so it does not get stuck in place with kiln dried sand or any of the resin based jointing products

You can even have your company name engraved onto the cover if required

I have not used one myself yet but will be doing so on all future work due to the same problems other members have endured, the plastic frame are always out of shape or if you install the type with the 4 lifting eyes they look horrendous in the middle of a driveway when compared to the single eye this type of cover has

Hi mick . I have used them manholes on many occasions . Ideal for laying fifty mm or less thick slabs . We used to just infill with one piece of yorkstone . As it was street paving slabs were 63mm thick . We used to get a couple of packs of 50mm York delivered to go in the trays . If we ran out we had to undercut the 63mm slabs :(. Nightmare. One other problem we had was we cut templates to fit the tray to make it easier for measuring only problem was the v bit of the tray where you put manhole key in is slightly different . Individual measuring on each one .
