Hi All,
Newbie so please be gentle with me !
We have just had Stonemarket Truslate paving laid on a full mortar bed for our patio and it now needs pointing up.
I see here that everyone recommends Marshalls Weather point but I am having real trouble getting hold of it from all our usual merchants
I have the options of Stonemarket Fast Point @ £33 a tub or the Sika Pave Fix Plus @ £25.
Are either one of these better that the other and how do they compare to the Marshalls ??
Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's correct to say everyone recommends Weather Point, there are certainly some that do but there are some on here who prefer a tried and tested sand/cement based product.
I'm only a diyer but after my experience with Rompox Easy which also comes in a tub I'd be dubious about Fast Point and most definitely stay away from the Sika stuff which I believe is on par with Geofix (do a search on here for Geofix)

Other than the label, there's no real difference between Weatherpoint and Fastpoint. Stonemarket is Marshall's Sunday-best trading name.
PaveFix, as I wrote in last week's review of Glee, has never taken off because it tried to be a GeoFix 20 years after everyone had figured GeoFix wasn't actually very good. It was the in-house jointing product for Bardstone for a while but was strangely dropped after just a couple of seasons. I wonder why?
My current resin jointing material of choice is VDW 850. I've not seen anything better for natural stone. It leaves almost no residue (when used correctly) and can take the loads imposed by commercial vehicles. You can make the argument that it's over-engineering for a patio/driveway, but when you consider it costs roughly the same as the other quality products already mentioned, why would you NOT use it when the perfomance is better?

Thanks for the replies.
I take your point on the traditional mortar - it's just the weather point seems to get the best comments of these type of products.
The ground workers carrying out the job are saying they have used the sika and it's better than geofix, but what you say confirms what I think.
The vdw850 looks top quality stuff but a bit beyond what I am looking for.
Hadn't realised the stonemarket/Marshall's tie up so will probably give the fast point a go as stonemarket are 4miles from here and the paving is from them so if there are any problems at least both products are theirs.
Thanks for great site by the way, Tony.
