Hello,
I have had a new patio laid in the last few weeks. I have been told I should now seal it. It is "Old Town" Weathered Limestone paving from Badstone. A couple of days ago I bought a tin of Wicks own brand Patio sealent and applied some to a small area to see how it looked after drying. It looks awful! Much darker that the rest of the stone and mottled. My question is that I would like to remove the sealent. Given that it is in a small area about 30cm square, what is the best product/way to lift the Wicks Seal and does anyone know of a better sealant that I could test before doing the whole patio?

Thank you.

The sealant you have bought is an all purpose patio sealant. For natural stone you need to use an impregantor. Impregnators dont operate on the surface of the stone, they absorb into the stone which means the colour is barely changed. Dry treat or lithofin are the best IMO. Google them for a local stockist. Might be quicker to relay the slab than remove the sealant
