Hi there

I have a cabin style 7x5 (2.13 x 1.52m) shed arriving next Thursday. It will be sited diagonally across the bottom corner of a garden that slopes in two directions. I plan to landscape the levels better at a later date but I need to get a base down before next week.
I have dug down 75mm from the finished height which is an old tree stump to the left of photo (this gives me a 75mm drop from existing patio) to allow a 50mm 1:10 dry mix layer and lay 20 Marshall Saxon 450x450 flags in a 5 by 4 layout to give a 2.25m x 1.8m base with 3mm gaps. The soil feels firm enough but a bit clay like. I am unsure wether to dig out a further 75mm and fill with MOT. Any thoughts would be appreciated. And now they forecast rain for the next 5 days!

Many Thanks
Rich

You need to dig out a bit more and put some MOT down. Its not a lot of extra effort and that way you willl have a proper job. Do it once do it right
