Hi,

DIYer here, have been reading here for quite some time doing my 'planning'.

Anyway, I have decided to pave in yellow granite.

Some suppliers are offering G682, which seems to be a Chinese sourced yellow granite. I don't really have a problem with it if the price is right, but I'm wondering if there are any reports, from the trade, on the quality of this product?

Many thanks.

Which kind of G682:
flamed slabs
tumbles
bush hammered setts

The only problem i have had with G682, is polished furniture, bits tend to fall out, maybe my suppliers fault.
Colour may be inconsistent, make sure it comes from the same batch if possible

I want 600x300 slabs, and some setts, hammer bushed/ bush hammered (?)

Perhaps G682 is used everywhere and is fine... I don't know!
I just don't want to end up with dodgy batches etc..

Might also consider some bull nosed steps too.

G682 is a stable product. Do you have a supplier in mind for it? Might be worth contacting CED Stone. They are strong on granite products and will know the answers to your questions

I'm actually based in Dublin... I would guess it's all coming from the one importer TBH.

Ok, so ask your suppliers the questions. If they can't give you the answers then find someone who can. I will say again though that its a stable product and you should have no worries

Thanks. That is all I wanted to know, at this stage!
