Recently had drive layed with 6mm burgandy coloured tarmac. Would you believe it but my car sprung an oil leak over new surface. Tried to clean with proprietary drive cleaner but has left only a lighter colour of burgandy and most of the oil stain still present. Any suggestions would be grateful - would it be advisable to cover with Red Top for instance? or just leave and suffer the lighter patches?

Once you're sure ALL of the oil is gone, Red Top is the cheapest and best option to recover a new looking driveway.
I've used a product called OT8 to remove oil from surfaces in the past and it seems to be very, very effective at using biological digesters to gobble up all the oil, even the stuff you can't see. However, all the trials I did were undertaken on concrete, concrete/clay block paving, and stone flags/setts, but not on tarmac, so I can't say that it will definitely be as effective on tarmac, but I'd certainly consider giving it a go.

Many thanks for reply. Can you indicate wether the Red Top is a durable finish and how long it may last before need to recoat?
