Hi all
I am about to lay a riven flag stone patio in my garden and i have cleared the area of weeds and vegitation, i have an existing patio made from the same paving and want to tie this into my new flags as they will lie adjacent to them.
the difference in height between my laid patio and the ground area i have prepared is approximately 70mm in depth, i wanted advice on laying a 50mm compacted MOT crusher base and a screeded sand top layer to sit my flags on as i plan to use this area to place a summer house / log cabin on.
i am aware i will need to dig down a bit more as my flags are 38mm thick and when adding this to my base layer the height of my new patio will be higher than the existing one.
Does my patio warrant a 50mm compacted crusher sub base?
Best method to lay riven paving? screeded bedding layer or bed individually with cement?
all advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks
