Patio foundation on clay - Design of foundation

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

What foundation is needed for a 65m2 flagstone patio on heavy clay?

We would like a concrete patio foundation.
Questions:
What depth sub-base?
What depth concrete?
Would steel mesh in the concrete be beneficial?
What bedding material/depth?
Is an expansion joint needed in the concrete (it will be 12m wide)?

Grateful for any paving expert advice.

100mm compacted mot if its firm clay will be more than enough
