Hello all,

Just wondering if I could get some advice on cleaning cement/mortar from my slabs. In some areas its just stains and in others, its quite heavy (lumps, smears, etc).

What would be the best way of cleaning? Would a hydrochloric acid cleaner help? If so, what is the best method for using such a cleaner?

If it helps, the type of slabs I have are in the following link:

Would really appreciate any help.
Look forward to hearing from you :)

There is some good stuff on the market I used some stuff called cement away it's quite good but make sure it's ok for your slabs first, also if you have lumps try gettting the worse off first with a scraper or a wire brush again avoid damaging the slabs

Thanks for the reply :)
Where can I get some of this Cement Away from? And I'm guessing its acid based. Do I just apply with a brush and jetwash it?

I have a spare slab so will be sure to test on that 1st :)

Lithofin builders clean is also worth a squirt as well. Follow the instructions to the letter and obviously test on a small patch first. Soak the area first as well to reduce the impact of the acid and also over dilute it and reduce incrementally as required

What type of 'slabs' are we talking about? Are they concrete or natural stone? Do you have a product name?

Yep, they are budget slabs and I believe they are concrete. Where can I get this Lithofin product from?

I am based in Coventry so hoping to purchase something locally or get something delivered in time for tomorrow.

Should I dilute it or just apply neat with a brush? How long do I leave it before jet washing it off? Sorry for all the questions :$
