First of all - what an excellent web site! The reference to cleaning a patio & trucculent teenagers - tops!
Recently I have laid a new patio. The slabs used are Marshall's Fairstone Riven Black Limestone.
I have yet to joint them.
Obviously during the process of laying the flags there have been a few marks created etc - what is the best method of removing these? Simple soapy water & stiff brush or Karcher power washer (+ patio cleaner extension?).
I also intend to seal / colour enhance the flags with "Lithofin Stain Stop". Thoughts? In what order should the tasks be done?
My guess is;
1. Clean flags
2. Allow flags to dry - ensure no dust etc
3. Apply Lithofin by roller - allow to dry
4. Fill joints with "Sika Pave Fix Plus - self setting joint compond"
- packed down tightly
5. Wipe clean flags, then brush paint Lithofin over joints, allow to dry
6. Deckchair out - have a beer & enjoy handywork!
