Hi all doing a granite patio this week using stonemarket arctic in midnight as a border with dusk granite as the main body questions are; should we screed a moist sbr/sharp sand/cement mix then paint a cement/sbr slurry onto the back of the paving and place flags lighty onto this, then pointing I was thinking easy point in black or rompox in a similar colour ?

No need to put Sbr into your mix just use a normal semi dry and apply the Sbr slurry to the flag it won't be going anywhere. You'll need to bed each flag individually laying small units onto a screeded bed is impossible to do well. What type of Rompox is it if it's the brush in stuff then forget it but if it's d1 then go for it otherwise I'd use the easy point.

I've heard of this before and am interested but have never done it. What are circumstance that would make it preferential to seal pavers onto a screeded bed rather than laying the paver onto a bed as you would normally do? Is it just when you are laying perfect cut stone or concrete?
Cheers
