I have replaced a round inspection chamber cover with a square one and hope to start laying my patio soon. I will be laying indian sandstone paving on top of a sand/cement bed over 100mm MOT1.
Should I follow the same process for inside the cover but obviously with just enough MOT1 to achieve the correct finish level? Do I compact the MOT1 in the cover as best I can?
Thanks in anticipation.

Don't use MOT.
Lay it on whatever mix of sand / cement you're laying rest of patio on.

Thanks Carberry. Makes sense, especially given the depth of the tray.

Thanks LLL but I put it in a couple of weeks ago. Got this and most of my materials from Henlow Building Supplies over in Biggleswade. Really helpful and friendly. Hope to crack on and get the patio down this weekend - weather permitting.
I'll post pictures if not too embarrassing.
