a friend of mine has laid his decking smooth side up ( pressure from his wife because she didnt like it the traditional way. ) now its raining the obvious is happening... broken arms and legs. apart from taking it up and relaying it ( 2000 screws ) can anyone recommend a way of making it non slip. :p

can you not get some of that grippy paint? but im sure that stuff isnt made to look nice. Or chicken wire but thats equally as unattractive.

well the wife should be told "women, know your limits!!" and be made to unscrew all the decking and put round the right way.
Then once your friend has recovered from his black eye, he will have to do it himself. I can see no other way

Just read this nutty thread
- from the top geezers - you are ALL slightly out there -
I suggest a summer Brew Cabin booze-up (as LLL tried last Xmas) courtesy of Simeon. Shall we cough up for Tarmac Lady's airfare?
Just a thought.....
Suggers xx
ps - if we don't start organising it now, it won't happen.

It's only 300 quid return, boys, and that's if I don't find a fare sale with Sir Richard!

i am off the drink for lent, good catholic that i am ,16 days 18 hours and 32 minutes since my last drink, and believe me bitter lemon can get very sickly after 10 pints
but with special papal dispensation for paddy's day i will be back practising whenever possible for the summer
IMHO decking is pants ,not suited to this sceptered isle's weather whatsoever
may is good for me and early june

Find a sealer and mix a very fine silica sand or ground finely pumice stone in to it. This should provide a bit of key as the silica sand should float on the surface of the sealer... or better still broadcast it onto the still wet sealer so it is just on the surface...
Try a small test area first.
