Hi all,
Not sure if anyone can help but I have just looked at a job where the customer would like a 6 metre gate across their driveway that opens and closes on a sliding mechanism so it does not open into their property and compromise their drive space.
The gate and posts are being supplied by a separate company and the customer thinks they have found a suitable motor to power the open and closing actions. However, they have asked me to look at who could provide the mechanism, the runner in the ground for the gate and any fixings that would be required to attach the gate to the posts to allow it to slide open and closed.
Does anyone know of any companies in either Oxfordshire or Warwickshire (or Nationwide) that would be able to help me with this??
Cheers,
Matt

Yes I'd agree with Lpad whenever I do gates that involve several companies it always ends with trouble. Best to get someone who does the whole installation start to finish. One point of note is that these particular type of gates are the most dangerous when i comes to crushing children so best incorporate some kind of access restriction or failsafe.
Can't see it from my house
