Hi

I am really hoping that you will be able to help. I've built my own house brick by brick(I work as a Project Manager for a construction consultancy) and it's taken two years hard graft. ???

I have now well run out of cash and I have to try and find a cheap solution for the driveway that looks good but I'm struggling. I can't use gravel as it doesn't comply with DDA standards (i.e. you can't push a wheelchair through it) but I like the look of gravel. I contacted a specialist to come in and price for a resin bonded driveway onto a concrete base but it was really pricy.

My question is - I can concrete a driveway myself, can I buy the resin glue from anywhere and place the chippings myself? I have contacted a couple of companies over the Internet but they say they will only supply to contractors with training.

How hard can it be?

Hope you can help,

Justine

Sorry - I've just found the relevant thread for this so you need not respond.

Thanks :D

i have previously done the subbase (tarmac or concrete) and just had the "specialist" come in and do the RBG
works out a fair wack cheaper this way because its a days work for them plus materials
then a little scarb turns up the next day and sweeps all the loose up
cheers LLL :)
