Hi everyone.

I have to lay some stone copings on top of a dwarf wall extension I have built. The old/existing wall is topped with stone copings that have been down for a long time and have weathered considerably.

I have managed to match them for the extension to the wall I have built but they are obviously new and massively different in colour....

Does anyone know of any way to help the ageing/weathering process on it's way (i.e coating with yoghurt)??? The sooner they match the better, all the surrounding stonework is old and the customer is keen for it to look all the same!!

Thanks in advance,

MattyH

yogurt is good for weathering timber, it grows a fluffy green algea. there is a company that sells soot in a liquid bottle that you spray on. that may be a good option?

on a sheep farm believe it or not :;):
has to be green so that the acid reacts with the acid in the soot,or alkali or whatever it is
it definitely works on bricks

Can you post sheep shit??? Or do I have to find a green sheep and chase him round rural Oxfordshire with a shovel under his backside??
