I have laid a patio for a client that includes 3 steps that run down to a lower level of the garden. I have started pointing the slabs but 2 slabs overhang the steps by about 3 inches. How do I point the overhang given that it is not supported by a sub base?
3 inches is a bit too much lip on a step,more chance of the slab lifting with that amount of over hang
to point the gaps use gaffer tape stuck underneath to support the mortar till it goes off
