I've got some marshalls eclipse granite to joint and following marshalls laying instructions the joints are only 5mm wide, I spoke to easipoint about there gun point but they said although it says 5mm upwards you will struggle to get it in properly, so they recommended sett point slurry. I've also spoke to ncc streetscape about their slurry, has anybody had any experience with these and is it easy to clean the surface after? Any other suggestions welcome and I need it to be black or dark grey, thanks. :)

If you're slurrying smooth granite with narrow joints then you may as well use 3:1 sand & cement it'll be seriously cheaper and look just as good. A squeegee and soft brush is all you need and a bit of patience. I've slurried a fair bit of Eclipse and it's always looked very well.

Thanks lads, i've only got 60 sqm to do and with the joints been quite narrow the cost isn't that bad especially for the sett point stuff, easipoint recommended using a mop with a sponge on the end to clean them after, just didn't want to risk staining them as there's quite a bit of money's worth of slabs.

Just keep a fine mist on it mate, as long as you dont go and do too big an area until you've sussed it out, you'll be fine. We sometimes mix 1.5 building sand, 1.5 Silver sand, half rapid set and half normal cement, pour it in and wipe back off with floor tilers grouting sponges and bucket. Works a treat. Just do a small section first.
