I've got to lay some 300 x 100 x 20 sawn stone "slabs" for want of a better word for the edging of a gravel driveway.

What would be the best method of doing so? I was thinking along the lines of a kerb race and bed the "slabs" on a 15/20mm bed of motar.

Does this sound like a feasible plan? Could I coat the underside of the slabs to promote a good stick/bond to the race - or just "no more nails" the b'stards down to the race?

hi dave kill to birds with one stone lay semi dry kerb race to a good level small agragate ie 10mm then mix 4to 1 grit sand cement some sbr lay on 25mm wide bed and haunch as you go once you get your first few tapped in they will stay where you put them

Why 20mm Dave? Sounds a bit thin

It's what the customer has already - they are what he has edged his other paving areas with. I say 20mm, could be 25mm - they vary a little.
