Will be laying 15Sq m of calibrated limestone stone shortly,is it worth adding SBR to the bedding layer mix or not?If so what proportions should it be mixed at?And what make is recommended or are they all much the same?

ronafix is the best but at a premium cost
i normally add about 100ml to every gauge it just seems to aid adhesion with natural stone

Excuse me being thick luton but what's a gauge?I'm not familiar with all the terms you pro's use!

a gauge is a mixerfull of mortar
i.e 12 grit sand 12.5kg cement (half a bag) and a jollop of SBR

Just looked at the price of ronafix I don't wont a second mortgage is there a poor mans version!

most diy/trade outlets (bandq, wickes, toolstation, tp, screwfix) sell sbr, cemetone, sika, feb etc make one, screwfix have got the sika one on special offer at the moment @approx £13, which beats most places by about £3
