First of all, thank you for this amazing website, full of really useful, down to earth (no pun intended!) info.
The answer to my question is probably on your site somewhere, I just can't find it.
I want to lay an L shaped patio around the back and side of my house. At the back it will be 4 metres wide and at the side 2 metres wide. I want to use Marshalls Coach House paving layed in a random pattern using 8 x project packs in seven different sized flags.
How do I get the patio to fall away from the house in two different directions, ie the rear of the house will fall to the south, the side will fall to the east. Should I lay the wider patio at the back with a fall and lay the flags to the side of the house level?
Many thanks
Malcolm

Hi
The patio will fall away to a gravelled parking area which I have already installed underground drainage to.
Thanks

it sounds like the only way to do it is to have a joint at the point where the two directions meet, so to speak.
I have just done this at home today so i know what you are trying to achieve!
