Hi
Sorry it's an old topic but I would like the latest info please Just had 50 metres of Raj green sandstone laid on full bed concrete. Looks good but better wet of course. Could anyone recommend the best available sealent.
I would like to enhance the colour slightly, but not with a "glossy" finish, and protect from stains. Also don't want to have to re-seal regularly.
Do I need an "impregnator" type or should I not seal at all and just power wash more often. Anyone use Lithofin Mainstop?
Many Thanks

We do seal sandstone using stain stop, but on those we do, do usually re-seal each year. BTW we clean loads of sandstone each that have never been sealed and the cilents are happy.

You could use lithofin stain stop and it would enhance the colour slightly. You could also use a lithofin colour enhancer but it would be glossy.

Whatever you do dont opt for a cheap brand because these types will really enhance the colour and make the stone look glossy which is not a good look.

I personally would not seal raj green. Its a warm, traditional looking stone and to enhance the colour would take away the natural look of the stone.

Whatever decision you make you dont need to rush into sealing because it can always be done at a later date. Give it a few weeks and let it weather and see how you like it first
