This has come in from a big civils contractor working in Windsor. They've broken some flags and need to replace them but can't identify the type/brand.

Initially, I thought they were Courtstone from Charcon, but the contractor tells me they are only 50mm thick, whereas Courtstone is 63mm. Pastel Charcoal, from Marshalls, maybe, but the colour/texture doesn't look right.

Any ideas....???

I originally only had the top photie and I thought it looked like a weathered council cinderback from South Lancashire, many of which still adorn the public footpaths of Sen Tellins, Warrington, Leigh, Bowt'n, Wiggin and environs. Hard-as-chuffing-iron, they are!

I'd think about taking a load of new ones to a metal worker and get them shot blasted then a splash of acid and they should be close enough. Perhaps also some chewing gum and a few p#ss stains to complete the look.
