Hi, can anyone help? This summer (July 2010) I paid to have a new patio laid in Marshalls Saxon, Colour the new Mocha!
initially we were delighted with our choice and all looked well, but after just six weeks, we and any visitors, started to notice that the colour was fading rapidly, and by September, we were looking at what can only be described as light grey, with the odd patchy Mocha slabs. I contacted Marshalls who emailed me back asking for Contractor, Merchants and invoice details?
I also contatced the Contractor who laid them who came to view them immediatley and agreed that they were fading at a rather alarming rate of knots. He then arranged for the Merchant to call and view, who also agreed there was a fault.
we were assured that Marshalls were a genuine company who would sort this issue out, and more or less told us that they would be replaced F.O.C.
Now after several weeks of waiting, after being led to believe that Marshalls were looking into why this had occurered so that they could send out a new batch that would not fade, i have been told today, by the contractor that Marshalls have sent him a letter (which I have seen) which in a nut shell states that they will not be doing anything, and that the fault is efflorescence! which its clearly not.
I know what efflorecence is, and this is not powdering on the surface, this is all of the colour fading or washing out?
I am very dissapointed that no one from Marshalls has been to view, and that Marshalls do not seem interested.
does anyone out there have any similar issues or advice what to do?
