Hello

In the not too distant future I'll need to use either rompox or gftk slurry mortars. What is best way to deal with an overhang over a retaining wall? Can you point these joints with some slightly gone off mortar and a jointing iron or is there another method?
The proposed stone is Global Stone's Maison in modak rose. Any suggestions for a jointing product & sealant once completed?

Thanks. Al Jardin

Do you mean a coping? If so, use duck tape or similar to stop up the base and end of the joint, then peel it off the next day when the mortar has hardened.

tony suggested it to me and it works a treat, only make sure you put it on before you moisten your flags or it wont stick

it can be a real sod top stick
we sometimes make a H section up with 3 bits of duck tape to ensure adhesion

Many thanks. They are slabs over a retaining wall. Who knows, may even get to enjoy pointing.
