Considering buying some Bradstone Weathered Riven slabs to make a small path next to the driveway down to the front door.

According to my grandfather all that is needed is a 3" layer of sand with sand brushed into the joints. Reading on here and elsewhere that seems to be the method for smaller blocks.

The drive/path is also on a bit of an incline so obviously don't want anything moving around. What would be the best way to lay the path?

Thanks

Welcome to the cabin Chris - the reason no-one's replied, is because all the basics are laid down in black & white on the MAIN SITE - have a read, then come back.
ps - regards to grandpa, but, can't u imagine your slabs, sitting on sand, with brushed-in sand - slip sliding down your "slight incline" - ???

Yes, I can imagine the slabs and sand all ending up by our front door. In fact my wife even thought the same thing, definitely didn't sound right what he was suggesting.

I'll have to think of a nice way of saying he's wrong and it needs to be cemented down instead :)

Thanks.
