Hello

I have just had a fairly large patio put down in Indian Stone.

My contractor first recommended using a product called Pave Shield to seal it - I said no because I didn't want a wet look

He has now recommended an American product called KCS (I can't find any mentions of this online). Has anyone heard of this?

Having just looked through a lot of this thread tonight the main recommendations seem to be Lithofin stuff. Also on the paving expert site they also mention Resiblock which seems to have less recommendations here.

Are resiblock products any good? As they market a product which they claim is specifically for Indian Stone that seemed a good bet for me.

Is lithofin a better bet? What makes it better than other products?

I don't want a wet look sealant - I have had the Mint Indian Stone laid and I think it looks just fine dry. I want to seal it for protection as I do a lot of BBQing and drink a lot of red wine and can easily see disaster and mishap on my lovely new patio!

Any help appreciated.

Lithofin is the best product for the job, forget resiblock it is awfull stuff,

How much will the lithofin product darken the patio? I like the nice brightness of it so don't want to darken it down much.

I suspect this will be both subjective, unique to your slabs and their location. For true representation buy a small pot and test on an off cut of slab.

It looks like I'd need 20L of sealant using the calculators - not cheap. I've looked up the lithofin. Has anyone any experience of using "Stone Sealer XT" from World of Sealers?
