did a patio in marshalls 3 side sawn stone last november all laid on full mortar bed and then pointed with romex easy ,had a call on thursday would i come out and have a look as all pointing is loose, been to look at it this morning and it is loose you can pull pieces out it seems not to have bonded to the flag, have i done something wrong or is it extreme weather or is it because the joints are sawn and it cant get a grip can anyone advise or help suggestions welcome

sounds very odd,was there excess water in the joints?
how deep were the joints?

30-35mm joints no excess water

I wondered about something like this in this thread below, because all the specs show resin mortars are very permeable. If the base is permeable, that isnt an issue, but if the base isnt, where does the water go?

or to put it another way, wouldnt it be better if rompox et al were impermeable, like a trad pointing mortar?

You have a point Dr water permeable joints mean algae and dirty water cause subsuface staining within the joint and it looks rubbish. I think thats why a lot of layers strike the stuff into the joints and compact it like a standard mortar so that it becomes impermeable. Trouble is when you do that it would have been better to use normal mortar due to the time taken and additional cost.
